In the morning, opening ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Construction, P.R.China, welcoming message by Weihai Municipal Government, messages by UN-HABITAT, Ministry of Construction, P.R.China and Shandong Provincial Government; Shandong Provincial Department of Construction introduce the urbanization progress of Shandong Province; Weihai Municipal Government introduce Weihai's economic and social situation and UN-HABITAT officials make messages. In the afternoon, plenary session, hosted by UN-HABITAT and the Ministry of Construction, P.R.China jointly. Experts and scholars from the Ministry of Construction, P.R.China, from some provinces and cities shall set forth urbanization experience and theory in 6 aspects.
