Weihai Tourism Bureau is the administrative organization of the tourism
industry of Weihai responsible for the planning of the development of
tourism, the guiding of the construction of the tourism projects and
nurture and complete the tourism market.
3. Construction Conditions
Weihai is the first National Environmental City of China, and was awarded
by the UN as the globally optimal city for improving the living environment.
Located at the eastern tip of Shandong Peninsula ,Weihai faces Korea
and Japan across the sea to the east, and is connected with the inland
of Shandong in the west.The transportation to Korea,Japan, Southeast
Asia, Russia ,Macao, HK and Taiwan by air and by sea is very convenient.
Weihai is one of the 22 cities in China entitled to issue the group
tourism visas, which offers the facilitation for the foreign tourism
group to Weihai. Weihai is abundant in the traveling resources. Lots
of islands, natural bathing places and natural springs are scattered
along the coastal lines. Especially ,this project will be built near
the south part of Weihai Park which leads to a very good sea-view effect.
There are many enterprises nearby ,which forms a large consuming source.
The place is an ideal one to build the conference and exhibition center
with convenient transportation and complete supplying of water, electricity
and gas.
4. Content and Scale of Construction
The project will cover a land of 200 mu, and the construction area will
be 111,000 square meters. There are three parts :1) exhibition center
holding 2000 international standard booths with the construction area
of 375000 square meters;2)Conference center holding 37 meeting rooms
for 30 persons, 60 persons, 100 persons, 200 persons and 500 persons
respectively and installed with the simultaneous interpretation system
with a construction area of 10,900 square meters; 3) Business Center
with the business rooms of 60,000 square meters and the construction
area of 63,000 square meters.
5. Total Investment and Composition of Investment
The total investment is estimated at US$101.2 million with the foreign
investment of US$50 million.
